Competitive Hike & Fly with the Strike 2
It is the ultimate goal for every Hike & Fly enthusiast. Experienced pilots swear by it. A lightweight harness capable of offering genuine comfort and precise handling.
During hiking sections, the weight of the harness will affect your pace and efficiency. Once equipped, a manoeuvrable and adjustable harness can adapt to every pilot. This applies not only during flight, but also during take-off and landing.
Designed for experienced pilots, the Strike 2 from Supair combines all these qualities. It retains the features that made the Strike 1 and X-Alps so successful while developing its own personality.
The Strike 2 cocoon harness is now available in 2 distinct versions: the Bumpair version (foam protection) or the Airbag version (Strike 2 inflatable protection).
Strike heritage
Designed on the basis of previous models, the Strike 2 features an entirely new buckle-free closure system, connected directly to the carabiners. It retains the anti-forget safety system with two closure points. Closing just one point is enough to ensure the pilot's safety.
The geometry of both the harness and the speedbag has been redesigned. It offers more precise handling and a rearward balance point while supporting the legs and allowing a more reclined flying position for greater comfort.
With the addition of an XL size, it provides a precise and comfortable fit for pilots from 1.60 m to 2 m tall.
A cocoon harness with more precise handling
The Strike 2 is ergonomic, comfortable and versatile thanks to an optional inflatable protector. The redesigned geometry provides more precise transmission of the wing's movements to the pilot, adjustable via the chest strap width. This does, however, make it slightly less stable.
During take-off, the transition into the seated position and entry into the speedbag are straightforward. The split-leg design makes the take-off run easier.
In flight, the harness adjustments and geometry allow it to adapt to each pilot's body shape and flying position.
Lightweight for competition
The Strike 2 is perfectly suited to Hike & Fly, but can also appeal to cross-country pilots looking for a lightweight harness. Its different configurations and options make it possible to reduce both weight and packed volume. It is designed to be flown with Dyneema Connects or Grivel carabiners, depending on the chosen options. This reduces equipment weight and makes the leg straps fixed, as on the X-Alps harness. The harness must then be put on like a climbing harness. This is the “competition” mode. This does not compromise its strength, as it is certified to 120 kg instead of 100 kg and features reinforcements at the reserve riser attachment points.
