From Prototype to Final Performance

Resulting from the collaboration between Ignazio Bernardi and a renowned Italian helmet design company, the Nerv 2.0 combines artisanal elegance and cutting-edge technology. Each model starts from a hand-sculpted prototype, digitized in 3D, and refined through simulation to optimize shapes, colors, and details. Components are precisely machined, assembled, and tested to offer a helmet with impeccable finish, reflecting Italian craftsmanship.

A Shell Adapted to Every Pilot

To enhance safety without compromising comfort, two sizes of outer shells have been developed: a smaller one (up to size 59) and a larger one (for sizes 60 and 61). This evolution increases the thickness of the internal polystyrene foam, a key element for passing the rigorous impact tests of the EN 966 standard. The outer shell, still made of 3 mm polycarbonate, remains both lightweight and highly resistant, with only a 14 mm difference between the two versions.

Rotary Size Adjuster

The new rotary adjustment system allows for adjusting both the helmet's circumference and its position on the nape. Easy to handle, it can be adjusted directly by the pilot, even during flight. Internal padding ensures optimal comfort at the support point.

Interchangeable Internal Padding

The Nerv 2.0 features an internal cap made of Coolmax fabric, a technical material known for its ability to quickly wick away sweat and promote evaporation. The result: a lasting sensation of freshness, even during intense effort. Soft to the touch, this fabric further enhances the helmet's interior comfort. Each model comes with a label guaranteeing the authenticity of the Coolmax used.

Visor (Sold Separately)

It is made of polycarbonate with anti-scratch and anti-fog treatment. Four versions are available: clear, tinted gray, orange, and mirror. A foam border can also be applied to reduce air circulation inside the visor.

Visor Attachment System

To enhance flight safety, the visor attachment system has been completely redesigned. The aluminum disc now protrudes no more than 5 mm from the shell, thus minimizing any risk of snagging with the lines. This improvement also meets the strict requirements of the EN 966 certification.

Air Circulation Inside the Helmet

On the Nerv 2.0, the thumb-operated ventilation control has been removed in favor of a more streamlined fixed system. Strategically placed vents still ensure effective ventilation for optimal thermal comfort during flight.

Ear Covers

The ear covers offer optimal comfort thanks to their softness and can be easily removed. To ensure maximum protection, it is nevertheless recommended to always wear them during flight.

Rollbar (Sold Separately)

An anodized titanium aluminum rollbar can be added to enhance chin protection, further strengthening the robustness of the Nerv 2.0. Easy to install, it fits all Nerv helmets by replacing the ear protections.

Micrometric Chin Strap

The chin strap is easily adjustable with millimetric precision. Simply press the red button to release the strap. The chin strap is padded with a soft and comfortable fabric.
