The Nova Vortex stands out as a benchmark in the category of ultra-light EN-C 2-liners. Designed for demanding cross-country pilots, it combines high performance with minimal workload, offering remarkable comfort for long-distance flights.

Its optimized handling enables natural use of lift: the Vortex delivers flat turns, minimal sink rate, and precise centering in tight thermals. Its low weight further enhances its efficiency, making it effortlessly responsive even in the most technical conditions.

The Vortex's B-control system is the most direct ever designed by NOVA. With precise inputs, the pilot can fine-tune the trajectory. Pitch control is particularly effective, and pressure on the rear risers helps relieve the arms during long glides without slowing the wing down.

Everyday Simplicity

Designed for both the field and performance, the Vortex stands out with its easy take-off and compact packing. Its Nitinol rods resist deformation and allow hassle-free folding. It comes with a Concertina Bag Light but is also compatible with a standard compression bag.

At only 3.3 kg in size XXS (weight range 60–85 kg), the Vortex is among the lightest in its class, making it an ideal ally for hike & fly and expeditions where every gram matters.

Risers Designed for Performance

The slim 7 mm Kevlar strap risers provide excellent handling. The height-adjustable B-handles (HAB-Handles), inspired by the XENON model, are made of carbon and can be set to five levels, perfectly adapting to your body and harness geometry for optimized accelerated flight control.

Smart Design with Nitinol

Nitinol rods retain their original shape even after folding. This innovative material is a superior alternative to traditional nylon rods, ensuring strength, durability, and optimal aerodynamic profile for consistent performance.

The 2-liner configuration significantly reduces line drag while increasing stability. The B-handles allow active piloting during accelerated flight, with instant responsiveness without deforming the wing’s profile. Result: higher speed in turbulent air compared to a 3-liner.

NOVA Air Scoop: Mastering Internal Pressure

The Air Scoop system improves internal pressure in the wing, similar to air intakes on sports cars. This technology ensures better stability, increased resistance to collapses, and thus enhanced transition performance.

Thanks to the Double 3D Shaping process, the Vortex offers a perfectly smooth leading edge, reducing wrinkles and improving airflow. This results in reduced drag, better glide efficiency, and optimized overall performance.
