LittleCloud Kiterisers

Kiterisers: Fast and Precise Angle of Attack Adjustment

The Kiterisers are a different way to change your glider’s angle of attack, just like you do with trimmers or the speed bar, but the difference is that you adjust it instantly with your arms and without being able to pull the brakes — only possible when the angle of attack is low.

LittleCloud Kiterisers: Mastery and Safety through Active Flying

A New Perspective on Stability

Reflex or no reflex, that is the question. Many pilots believe this system only works with reflex profiles because they've heard it elsewhere, but marketing isn't always the truth. Just like with trimmers or the speed bar, this device allows you to adjust your glider’s angle of attack (AOA) regardless of the profile. A reflex profile tends to increase its AOA when free, which helps reduce the risk of collapse in turbulence, but this characteristic is never absolute and all profiles can collapse, often without warning, especially at low AOA, with sometimes difficult recoveries. The stronger the reflex, the less efficient and manageable the handling, even if it allows faster flying. With over 20 years of experience designing kites, I know there are other ways to achieve stability, such as internal pressure or fabric tension, and that’s why LittleCloud works to make its wings stable without relying on a strong reflex profile.

In our opinion, relying on the glider to save you is a poor approach to safety, as turbulence is unpredictable and often invisible, and active piloting remains essential to prevent collapses, especially when flying close to the ground. For this reason, flying a glider equipped with the Kiterisers system requires experience and a good understanding of the wing to react properly to flight conditions.

Kiterisers Usage Limits: Safety and Caution First

Designed specifically for soaring, Kiterisers are not suitable for speedfling, speedriding (fast downhill flights close to the ground), acrobatics, or paramotoring. They are not recommended for novice pilots in miniglider soaring. In mountainous areas, where turbulence can be frequent, their use requires thorough knowledge of the site and conditions, as these devices are not suited for thermal flights or takeoffs with tailwinds. Avoiding turbulent air zones is essential, as the system does not alter the physical laws of flight or gravity. Active piloting remains indispensable to prevent collapses; no aircraft is completely immune.

Before taking off, ground training is mandatory to master this system perfectly, be able to control and play with your wing overhead without causing any deflation.
