The Coastal paragliding course in the heart of Brittany
Our aim is to offer the most relevant course content possible for the group. This requires a minimum level of consistency to ensure that everyone can fly on the same sites safely. We therefore propose a discussion time and, if necessary, a practice session (ground handling on a training slope) before final registration, to check that this course is suited to you (expectations, meeting the other participants, minimum skill level, etc.). The first morning of the course will be dedicated to ground handling in windy conditions.
WHAT ARE THE OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE?
The objective of this course is to discover Breton flying sites. Within a maximum driving radius of 2 hours from the base camp, Brittany offers a wide variety of diverse sites set in a stunning environment.
Each outing is carefully adapted to the current weather conditions and to the overall level of the group, both physically and technically. Decisions are made collectively after discussion with the instructional team, in a spirit of sharing and respect for everyone’s limits. This collaborative approach ensures a rewarding experience for all participants.
WHAT IS THE PROGRAM OF THE COURSE?
Our coastal course is structured around three fundamental pillars for your progression:
- Refine your ground handling skills in strong winds.
- Carry out flights from atypical take-off sites along the coast while being supervised.
- Further develop your skills with thermal flights in the Monts d’Arrée massif.

Charles sellier
Originally from Finistère, Charles grew up where the wind often blows straight on, where the weather changes faster than expected… and where butter is, of course, salted (otherwise, it’s not really butter). For nearly two years, he explored the Breton coastline by paraglider, from Finistère to the beginning of the Côtes-d’Armor, learning to fly with the ocean beneath his feet and the humility that comes with it.
Coastal flying is something Charles knows well: breezes that are sometimes generous, sometimes a little too enthusiastic, stunning cliffs, and that salty sea air that stings your cheeks at take-off. Here, we’re not talking about “easy” conditions, but about formative ones—ideal for learning to observe, anticipate… and accept that Brittany sometimes makes the decisions for you. It’s precisely in this area that he chose to set up the base camp for the Coastal Flying course. A terrain he is particularly fond of, and that he enjoys sharing with seriousness, pedagogy, and a healthy dose of Breton good humor.
With Charles, flying is safe, progress is constant, and there’s always room for a laugh. Always calm, never stressful, he knows how to teach without taking himself too seriously. A solid instructor, a discreet smile, and a simple philosophy: if it flies, great; if it doesn’t, we’ll still share a good moment (and probably a galette).

OUR PHILOSOPHY AIR ET AVENTURE
The objective of this course is to discover Breton flying sites. Within a maximum driving radius of 2 hours from the base camp, Brittany offers a wide range of diverse and varied sites in a stunning setting. You will learn how to calculate tides in order to determine access times to flying sites, assess the evolution of aerological and maritime weather conditions through observation, and understand the specific characteristics of local sites. If conditions allow, thermal flights are possible in the Monts d’Arrée massif.
This course is also an opportunity to refine your ground handling and take-off techniques in strong winds. Coastal wind conditions are generally laminar and therefore ideal for making progress. The choice of sites and conditions is made according to weather conditions, tides, and the overall level of the group. Decisions are taken collectively based on the expectations of each participant.
