ICARO NERV Rollbar – Enhanced Chin Protection

A chin guard designed for safety

The ICARO Rollbar is a dedicated chin guard specifically designed for the ICARO NERV helmet. Made from titanium-anodized aluminium, this sturdy bar provides extra chin protection while maintaining the helmet’s light weight and ergonomic design. It turns the Nerv into an even more complete helmet without compromising comfort or airflow.

Easy compatibility and smart installation

The rollbar can be added to any Nerv helmet. You simply need to replace the original ear covers with the special versions equipped with rollbar mounting points. The bar then attaches to the new ear covers, which are firmly connected to the helmet’s outer shell. This setup provides optimized chin protection with a flexible, energy-absorbing structure.

Progressive energy absorption system

The rollbar uses a design principle similar to that of the helmet itself, based on progressive energy absorption. In the event of an impact to the chin, the force is dissipated through the controlled deformation of the bar, ear covers, and their attachment points, rather than transmitting the energy directly to the user. This ensures effective protection and reduces the risk of injury.

Certified to EN 966 standard

Like the Nerv helmet, the rollbar system complies with the EN 966 European standard, ensuring quality, safety, and reliability for free flight and air sports.
