XENON NOVA – The ultra high-performance two-liner for committed cross-country flying
A reliable wing in extreme conditions
The XENON (EN/LTF D) was designed for pilots who push the limits of flight. Whether launching from technical sites, flying long cross-country routes in changing conditions, or landing on rough terrain, it offers the perfect balance of performance, safety, and durability. Thanks to a smart material selection and refined design, the XENON remains ultra-light while being extraordinarily robust.
Top-level performance
From the very first moments in the air, the handling feels intuitive. The XENON stands out with its agility in thermals, making it easy to cover long distances effortlessly. When accelerated, it delivers excellent glide and outstanding stability, even in turbulent air. The moderate pressure on the B-handles allows for comfortable and precise control at high speeds.
A meticulous selection of materials
Every centimeter of the XENON has been designed to optimize performance. Nitinol rods run the full depth of the upper surface to enhance profile stability while retaining their shape. This choice provides longer-lasting performance compared to traditional nylon rods.
The leading edge uses Dominator 20D fabric for durability, while the trailing edge is intentionally stiffer to ensure maximum stability. The rest of the wing uses ultralight fabric to reduce overall weight without compromising reliability. Result: just 3.15 kg in size 17.
Uncompromising risers
The 8 mm Kevlar straps used for the risers combine stability and handling comfort. Unlike ultra-light Dyneema risers, those of the XENON are easy to untangle and extremely reliable.
The height-adjustable B-handles can be set in six different positions to perfectly match the pilot’s size and harness geometry. Made from carbon, they are lightweight yet efficient, and a movable pulley on the B3 riser ensures optimal wing twist during accelerated flight.
A wing for experienced pilots
With an aspect ratio of 6.7 and EN/LTF D certification, the XENON is designed for seasoned cross-country pilots, hike & fly competitors, and experienced three-liner pilots transitioning to two-liners. It requires solid active flying skills, especially with wings featuring an aspect ratio above 6.
An optimized internal structure
To ensure the best durability and performance, the XENON uses a combination of premium fabrics:
- Leading edge: Dominico 20D (34 g/m²)
- Trailing edge: Skytex27 C2 (29 g/m²)
- Undersurface and most of the upper surface: Dominico 10D (25 g/m²)
- Internal structure: Skytex27 Hard (27 g/m²), reinforced at critical points on the profile ribs and diagonals.
Advanced aerodynamic optimization
The development of the XENON focused on speed and high-speed stability. The special profile provides excellent pitch stability even at low angles of attack, while the shape of the cell openings ensures optimal internal pressure during accelerated flight. The stress distribution and ballooning were refined to minimize deformation, ensuring smooth and fast gliding even at full speed.
