The TORRE is an EN-C class wing designed for ambitious pilots seeking speed, efficiency and precision.

It is the first 2-liner created by UP Paragliders in this category. Its design makes it a paraglider wing that pushes the limits of glide performance and opens the door to a new generation of performance wings. Intended for pilots wanting to take the next step in their progression and fully exploit distance-flying potential, the TORRE combines in-flight comfort, exemplary stability, and precise feedback.

The major advantage of a 2-liner lies in the refined rear-riser control during transitions in turbulent air, and in the extra altitude it allows you to gain in these conditions.

A completely re-engineered design

Everything has been redesigned for this new generation. The TORRE introduces a new aerodynamic profile and an optimized line layout to reduce drag as much as possible. The result: impressive top speed, remarkable glide across the entire speed range, and increased stability even in turbulent air.

Furthermore, thanks to rear-riser steering, the pilot can dampen turbulence without losing lift, maintaining optimal performance in real conditions. Possible collapses are easy to manage and reopen quickly, reinforcing the safety margin expected from the EN-C category.

Aerodynamic innovation: UP winglets

The TORRE is the first UP wing to feature winglets. Their benefits:

They were implemented only when they demonstrated a real performance gain after extensive testing. This is a deliberate choice, typical of the German brand UP Paragliders and its pursuit of perfection.

A design focused on performance

Development of the TORRE was carried out in collaboration with the Aerospace Engineering Institute, using advanced CFD simulations. Its leading edge benefits from reinforced front and rear supports ensuring rigidity and stability. The combination of Negative 3D Shaping (N3D) and Air Intake Tension Lines (AIT) guarantees a perfect leading-edge shape across the entire angle-of-attack range. These technologies provide outstanding stability, especially when accelerated, and an aerodynamic efficiency that places the TORRE among the most refined wings in its category.

Who is the TORRE designed for?

The TORRE is aimed at experienced pilots wishing to exploit the full potential of a 2-liner while remaining in the EN-C category. It is a natural evolution for pilots coming from wings such as the TRANGO X, offering more speed, precision and responsiveness. It is an ideal wing for flying further, more efficiently, and pushing your limits in cross-country. As its 2-line design does not allow B-stall, good spiral control is recommended. However, its overall stability inspires great confidence even in demanding conditions.

In-flight behavior

Take-off is simple and progressive, without any notable difference from a 2.5-liner. The unsheathed, color-coded lines make sorting quick and easy, ensuring a smooth and precise inflation. In the air, the TORRE is lively, fluid and extremely responsive. It naturally finds the core of the thermal and easily climbs in weak lift. Thanks to its pitch stability, the wing stays centered above the pilot even in strong thermals, without requiring constant corrections. This stability allows you to fly longer without fatigue while maintaining high glide performance during turbulent transitions. Rear-riser control is particularly effective in active air, where the TORRE maintains maximum lift while other wings may lose performance.
