A carrying system specifically adapted to the female body shape

NEO has developed its own WOMEN FIT technology, a carrying design specifically engineered to adapt precisely to the female body shape. It is well known that anatomical differences between women and men play a major role when it comes to backpack carrying comfort.

Women generally have a shorter back, longer legs, and a narrower shoulder width. The shape of the shoulders, waist, and hips differs significantly, as does the lumbar curvature. The chest area also has a strong influence on carrying comfort and load distribution.

To address these specific needs, NEO designs dedicated back panels, ventilation systems, shoulder straps, and hip belts for its women’s models. The height-adjustable chest strap allows for precise and comfortable adjustment.

Differences in body shape do not affect backpack size: regardless of stature, the WOMEN FIT technology adapts to all body types.

At NEO, female-specific design is a true technical reality, not just an aesthetic choice.

An ergonomic and innovative ventilation system

The ultra-light fiberglass frame developed by NEO sets a new benchmark in terms of back comfort and ventilation. This system ensures continuous airflow along the back during exertion, providing a pleasant cooling effect, especially when worn with a light layer.

Unlike conventional systems, the semi-rigid frame of this backpack perfectly follows the natural curvature of the lower back, ensuring ergonomic support without compromising comfort.

The internal volume of the Hike hiking backpack remains fully intact: the ventilation system is integrated without reducing storage capacity. The shoulder straps and hip belt are also designed to provide a secure and comfortable fit, even under intensive use.

And for easy maintenance, the entire backpack is machine washable at 30 °C.

Lightweight and ergonomic fiberglass frame

The NEO HIKE backpack frame is made from fiberglass, a choice that significantly reduces weight compared to a traditional mountain backpack: only 895 g for the 20 L model.

Fiberglass offers an excellent balance between lightness, strength, and flexibility. It allows the development of ergonomic shapes while maintaining a rigid structure, ideal for comfortable load carrying.

This technical material also makes it easy to integrate the backpack’s innovative ventilation system without compromising support or comfort.

The result: a backpack that is lightweight, rigid, and perfectly fitted, designed for prolonged efforts in the mountains.

Practical and functional front opening

Inspired by the worlds of mountaineering and paragliding, NEO backpack design prioritizes practicality and ease of access.

Thanks to its full front opening, the backpack can be loaded and unloaded quickly, whether carrying a paraglider or technical equipment.

The dual-zip system allows the backpack to be opened all the way to the base, even when fully packed. An ideal feature to save both time and effort.

Integrated technologies for enhanced safety and connectivity

• RECCO® technology: Used by organized rescue teams, RECCO® technology helps locate people buried in avalanches or lost in remote terrain (dense forests, isolated mountains, etc.). It is a passive and complementary safety system that allows you to hike or fly with greater peace of mind.
• Booomtag® technology: This backpack integrates a Booomtag® NFC chip that allows access, via a compatible smartphone, to key information with a simple tap: personal details, emergency contact, proof of purchase, loss or theft declaration, and more. In case of loss, anyone finding your backpack can easily identify and contact you.
