A wing to start and progress
The NIVO is an EN-A training and beginner paraglider wing, completely redesigned. It is designed to reliably support paraglider pilots from their first ground handling sessions to their first independent thermalling flights, including training. In terms of flight characteristics, it is positioned between the PRION and the AONIC, bridging the gap between a classic school paraglider and a performance-oriented EN-A paraglider.

An ideal EN-A paraglider wing for learning and progression
The NIVO from NOVA is an EN / LTF A paraglider fully developed to support pilots from their first ground handling sessions through to their first independent thermalling flights. Positioned between the PRION and the AONIC, it perfectly bridges the gap between a traditional school wing and an EN-A wing offering greater performance potential.
Designed to inspire confidence from the very first flights, the NIVO offers a forgiving and reassuring behaviour that helps students manage the typical piloting mistakes made during the learning phase. Its balanced and harmonious handling allows for smooth progression while delivering genuine flying sensations from the start.
A wing that supports pilots well beyond training
The NIVO is not limited to being a simple school paraglider. Thanks to its performance and manoeuvrability potential, it remains relevant long after initial training. It allows newly certified pilots to continue progressing with confidence, whether during their first independent thermalling flights, their first cross-country attempts, or simply enjoying flights at their local site.
Flying sensations and thermalling efficiency
In flight, the NIVO stands out thanks to a progressive and precise brake pressure, providing intuitive and easy-to-control handling. In thermals, its low sink rate when turning and constant feedback make it easier to centre in lift. Longer flights therefore become smoother and more efficient, even for pilots still in the learning phase.
The number of cells, deliberately kept within the average of the EN-A category, ensures an excellent compromise between high passive safety, solid performance and ease of use.
An ideal wing for progression and discovering manoeuvres
The NIVO is also suitable for the first advanced piloting exercises. As an EN-A wing capable of freestyle manoeuvres, it allows a progressive introduction to manoeuvres such as the full stall, the SAT, or the helicopter during SIV courses. Its forgiving behaviour and clear feedback encourage safe and progressive learning.
A successful balance between safety and performance
The goal of the development was to create a wing that would provide instructors with peace of mind while offering pilots a richer flying experience than a traditional school paraglider. To achieve this balance, NOVA worked on a more advanced internal architecture improving manoeuvrability and thermalling performance without compromising safety.
Its low aspect ratio ensures calm and predictable reactions in unexpected situations, while the optimised number of cells improves handling precision and thermalling efficiency.
A robust design for long service life
Designed to withstand intensive use, the NIVO uses robust and durable materials. It easily handles repeated take-offs, ground handling sessions, damp morning grass or dusty landings.
The NIVO is therefore much more than a training paraglider: it is a versatile, durable and progressive wing, capable of accompanying pilots throughout their first years of progression.
