The Ultra-Light and Compact Backpack for Alpine BASE Jumping
The NEO BASE is a technical backpack designed for BASE jumpers operating in demanding alpine environments. Drawing on more than ten years of experience in designing technical paragliding backpacks, NEO has applied all of its expertise to create a pack built for long approach hikes, challenging alpine ascents and high-mountain exits.
Weighing only 650 g, the NEO BASE stands out for its exceptional lightweight design without compromising durability. Its adjustable capacity from 60 to 45 litres and outstanding compressibility make it the perfect companion when every gram and every centimetre count. Every material has been carefully selected for its technical performance, resulting in a reliable, comfortable and highly efficient backpack for the most demanding terrain.
Key Benefits
The NEO BASE backpack has been specifically designed to meet the needs of alpine BASE jumpers:
- Maximum freedom of movement: minimal padding, ergonomic shoulder straps and a comfortable waist belt that won't interfere with the pilot's position.
- Superior carrying comfort: frameless construction that distributes the load across the base of the backpack instead of relying on a rigid back panel.
- Exceptional compressibility: once the BASE jumping equipment has been removed, the backpack compresses from 60 to 45 L and can be packed inside or underneath a wingsuit. The complete absence of rigid components further maximises its compactness.
- Outstanding stability: geometry developed from NEO's expertise to improve balance during technical approaches.
- Total focus: no rigid components interfere with the pilot's position, allowing complete concentration on the BASE jump and flight.
