The BANTAM X was designed to solve one specific challenge: enabling technical take-offs from extremely small or demanding launch sites. Thanks to its projected area of just 11 m², ultra-short lines and exceptionally stable behaviour, this mountain mini-wing offers unique possibilities for experienced pilots. The BANTAM X's dedicated geometry enables fast and precise take-offs on demanding terrain. During approach, its handling remains intuitive and its flare is particularly effective. The rear stabiliser even benefits slightly from the ground effect, making landings more comfortable despite the wing's small surface area.
The BANTAM X is intended for pilots with solid experience in mountain flying, Hike & Fly, speed flying or high-performance mini-wings. Its concept focuses above all on the ability to launch from restricted areas while maintaining a high level of stability, performance and handling precision.
With its extremely small projected area and very short lines, the BANTAM X falls outside the scope of standard certification procedures. NOVA deliberately chose not to certify the wing in order to preserve the unique characteristics that make this mountain wing so special, including its outstanding capability for technical take-offs, exceptional agility and ultra-compact design.
