A paragliding course to push your cross-country limits!

Want to get out of your valley? You already know how to move around and fly for several hours? This Cross Country Level 2 Course is made for you! Come and explore new routes, guided by an experienced instructor.

Unlike the Level 1 Cross Course , this one is not about learning cross-country flying, but about perfecting your skills. Cross-country flight requires solid technical abilities and strong experience. The goal of this course is to help you in your pursuit of performance through a detailed analysis of your flight strategy and decision-making process. It is aimed at any paragliding pilot holding at least the Pilot License, who wants to progress and discover new sensations.

Our Air et Aventure Academy paragliding school is located in Lumbin. The cross-country course takes place on various nearby sites around Saint-Hilaire-du-Touvet, a legendary and unmissable location for free flight.

WHAT ARE THE OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE?

The goal of this course is clear: to guide you through your first real cross-country flights, safely and with a smile on your face.

➡️ Build a coherent flight plan based on your level, conditions, and goals

➡️ Make the most of the daily flying window to maximize your airtime

➡️ Learn to land safely out in the field, following the rules and using a clear method

➡️ And above all… FLY! Connect thermals, leave the local area, and experience the true joy of cross-country flying.

OUR PHILOSOPHY AIR ET AVENTURE

The pleasure of flying cross-country is a unique and almost magical experience.
However, it’s essential to never forget the fundamentals of flight: always stay humble, vigilant, and aware of your surroundings at all times.

During a cross-country course, the instructors are there to guide and advise you, but each pilot remains responsible for their own safety.

To enhance safety and make retrievals easier, each participant is equipped with a GPS tracker throughout the duration of the course.

A PARAGLIDING COURSE IN THE ALPS AT SAINT-HILAIRE DU TOUVET IN ISÈRE

This is the main site we use, located just a few steps from the city of Grenoble, on the edge of the Chartreuse, facing Belledonne and close to the Vercors.

This site is perfectly suited for this type of course. With large take-off areas in the village of Saint-Hilaire du Touvet and a vast landing field in Lumbin, the setting is ideal for both beginners and the most experienced paragliders.
