The Pure Slider carabiner is made by specialist brand Edelrid. Weighing in at just 51g, it is also extremely durable. In fact, its maximum vertical load is 22 Kilonewtons. Specially designed for vertical disciplines, it adapts perfectly to paragliders and provides a quality connection between glider and harness. It also features a slider closure for optimum safety.

For your own safety, we recommend checking this carabiner at least once a year. It should be in good condition, with no corrosion, deformation or abnormal wear. Finally, it's imperative to systematically replace any carabiner that has been used to arrest a violent fall in the past.

A safe carabiner

This carabiner features a plastic finger to maximize safety for paragliders. The finger has 2 functions:

• Anti-twist system: once installed and locked, it is impossible to take off with a twisted carabiner, as thewing 's riser is separated from the harness's anchoring points.
• Triple-lock: to open the carabiner, three actions are required instead of two, increasing pilot safety. The plastic finger prevents inadvertent opening in the air, making the carabiner even more secure.
