The AONIC Light is suited to a wide range of pilots, from ambitious beginners to hike & fly enthusiasts looking for a compact and reliable wing, as well as occasional flyers and leisure cross-country explorers. This EN-A certified glider combines precise handling with great glide performance while maintaining a high level of passive safety. For training purposes, flying in the middle of the weight range is recommended, while more experienced pilots can exploit the higher end of the PTV for maximum potential.
Don't be misled by the certification. In March 2022, Swiss pilot Toni Brügger flew a 214 km FAI triangle with the standard AONIC and a 247 km triangle with the AONIC Light. A remarkable demonstration of this wing’s real cross-country capabilities — well beyond the “school wing” label.
