Paragliding course: how much does it cost to learn to fly ?
Paragliding is an aerial sport offering unforgettable thrills. To take off and fly over the peaks, it is advisable to take lessons and be accompanied by a qualified instructor. The Fédération Française de Vol Libre, or FFVL, is a federation of paragliding professionals, and ensures that paragliding is practised in complete safety. If you're a beginner, you can take an beginner course to learn the basics of paragliding. Aerological and meteorological conditions are aspects to be taken into account for safe flying.
To learn to paraglide, you'll find several formulas adapted to each person, and particularly to each availability. It's a bit ambitious to give a price for training, since each person learns at his or her own pace and according to his or her own availability. We can therefore start from the basic premise that to be autonomous in paragliding on a known site in calm conditions, it is in the vast majority of cases necessary to take 2 paragliding courses. An beginner course followed by a progression course. With these 10 days of training, you'll have acquired the basics to start thinking about flying a paraglider on your own. The average price of these paragliding courses at Air et Aventure is around 1,415 euros. Don't forget the 12-day instruction package (equivalent to an introductory course + progression + 1 week-end, which has the advantage of being less expensive than two different paragliding courses...).
PRICE OF A PARAGLIDING COURSE : WHAT CRITERIA INFLUENCE PRICES ?
The price of a paragliding course will depend on the following criteria :

The location of the paragliding school , it may be more or less expensive depending on where the pilot wants to do your paragliding course.

Weekly or weekend packages ,depending on the number of days of paragliding instruction you take, the cost will be higher or lower.

Seasonality of your course ,some paragliding schools charge different rates for high and low seasons.

Type of paragliding course ,generally speaking, introductory courses are less expensive than more advanced courses. This is due in particular to the amount of travel involved in a course, and to the day's activity schedule. It's much easier and less expensive for paragliding schools to organize an introductory course than an advanced or cross-country course.
