The Supair Delight 3 is a lightweight cocoon harness designed for cross-country flying. It is intended for pilots who consider weight, handling quality and passive safety to be inseparable. It retains the features that made the previous versions so successful while taking a more comfort- and performance-oriented approach.
The design of the Supair Delight 3 places it firmly in the category of performance-oriented cross-country harnesses. Its structure is more rigid than that of its predecessors, with strong and continuous lumbar support. Its in-flight behaviour is precise. It is intended for regular pilots with experience in cross-country flying. At take-off, its lightweight split-leg design makes the take-off run easier until the wing takes your weight. In addition, transitioning into the seated position and getting into the speedbag takes only a moment. Once in flight, the split-leg harness structure with a removable mini seat plate provides direct and precise handling sensations. The inherent stability of the split-leg design ensures good overall balance of the harness. Finally, the materials used for the Delight 3 are extremely robust, with Nylon 210D Ripstop and Nylon 210D Honeycomb.
The Delight 3 offers excellent passive safety. This is partly thanks to the new Bumpair 16STK, which achieves excellent results in crash tests. In addition, the harness is closed using 25 mm automatic aluminium Cobra buckles, a solution chosen for its practicality and safety. It also features an anti-forget system. Finally, the reserve compartment, with the handle on the right-hand side, closes with a zip and is secured by two concealed pins. Once closed, the harness has a smooth profile with nothing that could snag. As a bonus, a tree-rescue kit is integrated into the harness.
The Supair cocoon harness remains very comfortable in the air, even after several hours of flying, thanks to its removable carbon mini seat plate beneath the seat and its carbon foot plate. You can also fine-tune your position perfectly, as the speedbag is removable and its angle can be adjusted. Shoulder length, chest strap width and backrest angle can also be adjusted for even greater comfort. The speedbag itself is one of the Delight 3's practical advantages. It features an integrated 3 L cockpit as well as zipped side pockets. Finally, this cross-country harness includes numerous accessories such as a two-step speedbar with a centring support, as well as Velcro and shoulder loops for attaching a microphone or vario. In addition to the large back pocket, there is a radio pocket and a pocket beneath the seat.
