The Radical 4 from Supair is the latest mountain harness from the French brand. Its modern and streamlined design retains the key features that made its predecessor, the Radical 3, so successful. It offers excellent in-flight comfort while remaining lightweight and easy to use. It is therefore equally suited to recreational pilots and experienced mountaineers looking for a technical and specialised product for mountain flying and Hike & Fly.

The Radical 4 features a padded backrest and leg straps reinforced with Mylar. Getting into the harness is easy. It provides excellent comfort, even after several hours in the air thermal flying or soaring.
In backpack mode, new ergonomic shoulder straps and a removable waist belt improve carrying comfort. With a light pack, it allows a higher carrying position. If the pack is heavier, a more conventional carrying position is preferable. It also adapts to the pilot's body shape. Indeed, the back section is larger on size L than on sizes S and M. The backpack also offers more volume compared with the Radical 3. Its design allows it to carry a wing such as the Leaf 3 Light, a reserve parachute and a helmet.
It is available in 3 sizes (S, M and L) and is certified up to 120 kg, compared with 110 kg for the Radical 3.
The Supair harness can be connected to a removable airbag module, making the harness reversible. This module includes an under-seat reserve parachute compartment. The under-seat airbag has undergone several modifications compared with the Radical 3. Still pre-shaped, this new version extends further forward on the harness and incorporates a rod made from a more resistant material. It successfully passes the certification tests, guaranteeing optimal passive safety.
The reversible airbag version provides access to a Roll-top backpack equipped for mountain use. It includes numerous easily accessible pockets as well as several features such as pole holders, an ice-axe holder and a hydration-bladder pocket.
The harness ready to fly in size M weighs 920 g, and 2190 g with the airbag module added.
