THE COURSE TO START PARAGLIDING
Do your colleagues talk about paragliding all day long? Is flying your childhood dream?
Then don't hesitate! Our beginner paragliding course will give you the opportunity to discover paragliding in the best possible conditions, and to make your first solo flights ! Quiet flight close to the clouds.
Nb: we insist on the fact that, for the youngest, the request must come from the child and not from the parents!
WHAT ARE THE OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE?
During your initiation course in paragliding, your goal will be to validate with your instructor several key points that certify your understanding and your ability to practice paragliding:
➡️ First, the primary objective is to acquire the basic gestures to master the take-off phase of a flight. Thanks to practical exercises and theory, you will quickly be able to handle a paragliding take-off.
➡️ The second objective is to understand a flight plan. Indeed, you will need to be able to reproduce in the air a route previously studied during theoretical lessons.
➡️ Moreover, a paragliding initiation course provides students with the basics of aerology. No worries, there is no exam at the end of the week, but this knowledge will follow you throughout your life as a paraglider pilot.
➡️ Finally, once all the previous points are acquired, the ultimate goal of this paragliding initiation course is to achieve your first long solo flights.
WHAT IS THE PROGRAM OF THE COURSE?
The progression of an initiation course consists of several practical outdoor exercises as well as indoor theory lessons:
- 2 to 3 half-days of the week are dedicated to mastering the wing on a training slope. They allow you to understand the behavior of a paraglider wing in real conditions and to experience your first sensations.
- This is followed by video analysis and debriefings to correct small positioning errors and improve control of your paraglider wing. Theoretical workshops on the world of paragliding, such as weather analysis, are also part of the program.
- Finally, the last days of the course are dedicated to making flights on different suitable sites, if conditions allow.
Note: Paragliding is an aerial sport subject to weather conditions. The program may change depending on meteorological and aerological conditions.

We also know that this course and the first steps in teaching it are decisive for your future paragliding experience.

A PARAGLIDING COURSE IN THE ALPS AT SAINT-HILAIRE DU TOUVET IN ISÈRE
This is the main site we use, located just a few steps from the city of Grenoble, on the edge of the Chartreuse, facing Belledonne and close to the Vercors.
This site is perfectly suited for this type of course. With large take-off areas in the village of Saint-Hilaire du Touvet and a vast landing field in Lumbin, the setting is ideal for both beginners and the most experienced paragliders.
